A lot of stuff on Lost also wasn't answered by the end of the show either, so you can't be too upset that they didn't go into the background of characters like Gus or Mike. That's my take on why the show seemed to be boring and drag on, that's at least why it felt this way to me. The tonal balance needed to present its main protagonist as both a desperate man and a monster, with a dexterity in writing that can deliver a three-word dagger and an episode-title puzzle with equal ease, and the delicate spatial choreography needed to pull off some signature pyrotechnics; they all made the series an enduring achievement. BCS is great, but nothing tops Breaking Bad. He did a loooot of bumbling. Therefore, by watching it in this order, larger moments from Breaking Bad are actually built up for much longer.
But what about Gus' time that he killed the whole cartel with his drink and had a medical team standing by waiting to treat them in any possible outcome? Whereas it took Jesse quite some time to realize who Walt truly was as a person, Kim has known what Jimmy was from the very beginning, and she's been trying to manage Saul rather than run away from him. What is Mikes motivation, what happened, who is his daughter? But Walter White was that kind of guy.

That show was way more formulaic then Breaking Bad IMO. This is the problem with watching a lot of tv or even if you studied things about film in college or something. None of his enemies can claim his death, and I like that. No doubt, it is amazing but many seem to think that the show is kind of overrated. CAN YOU SEE????? No!

It lacked subtlety, and without subtlety there is no complexity. (Though it’s worth pointing out that the finale arguably gives him more powerful closure by having him refuse to shoot Walt, despite his fury, when Walt urges him to.). But Kim Wexler is her own person, through and through. Some Breaking Bad moments can have a bigger impact if they have been already built up in Better Call Saul.

Better Call Saul perhaps humanises him too much. What’s also great on Better Call Saul is that we’re actually able to see more inside of his head than we did on Breaking Bad. Since you made a comparison to Lost, I will have to make some comparisons. As it is, after watching the episode once, it took me a while to get out of the chair I was sitting in. But I don’t feel that way about Jimmy. I wouldn't say that though...they explain how torn she is and show why she goes along with it, so it's not really unrealistic at all. Even in El Camino, Walt’s presence loomed over him and you got the sense that his presence would always live over him, even by the end of the movie. That the film’s 125-minute runtime still feels brisk and propulsive, even with so many sequences of relative calm and introspection, is an impressive achievement that solidifies “El Camino” as an appropriate addition to the greater “Breaking Bad” saga.
You do tend to find that shows and movies have a specific formula.
