She has nearly twenty years of experience in arts administration, creating new works, producing and performing. As Artistic Director of The Everyman, Cork, Julie was responsible for the programme and artistic strategy. Managing Director Ian Tresselt had joined Everyman in the fall of 2008, and assumed oversight of the capital budget and operating pro forma that had been developed Additionally, LaRose serves on the League of Resident Theatres’ equity, diversity, and inclusion committee, as well as its collective bargaining 101 committee. Its founder, John McDonogh, once said, “Study in the course of your life to do the greatest possible amount of good.” This sentiment represents what you might call my ultimate career goal. Hernandez will remain a part of Everyman’s Resident Acting Company, of which she has been a member since 2017.
