Family Man and You & I more or less follow the same template of a great dance groove coupled with a guitar-synth chord sequence that cries "80s" but in the hands of FM are quite brilliant and are worthy additions to their vast array of classic tunes. It was a time of total confidence for the band, who with all the changes really looked forward to and embraced their time in the studio together with complete respect and overall enthusiasm. Really pleased with this remaster, pressing is flat as well as nice and quite, no skips here, it hasn't had the gold plated treatment like Fleetwood Mac & Rumours have in the form of Deluxe package, 45rpm 2xLP's or big back to the master tapes statements, but to my ears its been done well, there's lots of detail present and a good amount of bass to help balance that bright sound, something earlier versions I had listened to don't have. The skipping was awful - it took me purchasing 5 different copies from all over the world to finally get one that does not skip (despite all of them appearing flawless).
This LP was for my Daughter who ran away with an Irish Gypsy in his wee caravan.
If you don't have the original buy this copy you won't be disappointed. A musical journey through dreams and fantasy! Also vocals sound more transparent and vinyl Is now 180 gram which is real nice to have. I could tell by just taking the record out of the shipping packaging, and putting it on the table.
