Braintree might have it beat for comfort and leg room, and Randolph for the number of screens... but with it's one screen, Loring Hall always has the best of the lesser-known (and often award-winning) films. Going here makes for a nice night out.
I've seen two movies: 127 Hours (4 people in the theater); and The Descendants (line was out the door and down the street!).
The scenes from The Descendants on Kauai'i weren't spectacular by any means (any they should be!). At least it's NOT FREEZING inside the theaters anymore. This is sad, because I like to support the theater, but not by sacrificing my bowels. Patriot Cinemas at the Hanover Mall is more affordable than comparable theaters, and even may satisfy that bit of nostalgia for bygone days, but could really use a touch of modernization.
