Agréablement surpris, surtout pour un film à sketchs horrifique qui d’ordre habituel en résulte quasi irrémédiablement un truc inégal, ici les cinq histoires sont toutes captivantes, le décor reste le même, un endroit désertique du sud des États-Unis perdu entre la réalité et le cauchemar, sorte de triangle des Bermudes aride et poussiéreux, mais les personnages s’intervertissent en raccordant des sous-genres différents.

Southbound is a rather interesting horror anthology with interweaving stories, at the end of a segment one of the characters passes the segment torch to a new character and the audience is smoothly carried along into a new segment, with the wraparound acting only as bookends to the entire anthology, instead of having a segment in between each act. Bon acteurs, histoires sympas, ceux qui ont fait ça on clairement une vraie culture du film d'horreur et c'est vraiment bien foutu. Southbound Le fait que le film soit séparé en différentes petites histoires et que les personnages soient liés entre eux et entre chaque histoire rend encore mieux ce petit bijou.
